Team Envyus wins the Halo Fall League

Team Envyus defeated Optic Gaming in a nail-biting 4-3 series, claiming the North American HCS Fall Pro League, their first major Halo Championship Series title.

The game 7 decider came after both teams had trades series’ wins in the tournament. Optic had drawn first blood, picking up a 4-1 series win in the Winners Bracket Final. Team Envyus, after successfully advancing through the losers bracket, won the return series 4-2 to set up one final best of 7.

The back and forth Console Classico series came down to a deciding game of slayer, which Envyus took comfortably to secure the Fall Championship.

Earlier in the tournament, Team Liquid performed a remarkable reverse sweep in the 4th place match, sending Str8 Rippin home early. Liquid’s run was ended by a rampant Team Envyus.

How will Optic bounce back as Halo enters the Worlds qualification season? The team has been mostly dominant throughout Halo 5’s lifespan, is this a one off, or a sign that the likes of Snipedown and Pistola have finally reached their potential in this title?
